After finally launching the iPhone 5, T-Mobile have reportedly had huge success with sales following the first day of stocking the Apple device
According to AllThingsD, Chief Marketing Officer Mike Sievert issued a statement saying, "We experienced lines out the door this morning at nearly all of our almost 3,000 stores nationwide."
Sievert commented that the day had been "gangbusters" for the company (very successful & exciting).
T-Mobile have opted to stock the iPhone 5 as a key part of its effort to rebrand the company, which has also been seen by the move towards a new LTE network that it was currently being tested in 8 US cities.
AllThingsD have previously reported, prior to the launch, T-Mobile's trade-in offer plan which encourages iPhone owners from other carriers to switch to them.
The report said, "T-Mobile will offer a variety of discounts for those who trade in an iPhone 4, iPhone 4S or iPhone 5. The discounts come in the form of a lower upfront payment, bill credit, and discounts of the monthly device financing cost."
The company launched a national TV ad to promote the introduction of a "advanced nationwide 4G network, no restrictive annual contracts" iPhone 5. Watch the advert below.
