iPhone 5s part images hint at second colour option

A new leak has suggested that the iPhone 5s may come with a champagne colour option.

Online parts retailer Luna Commerce has posted what it claims are parts from the iPhone 5s. Among them are a group of three buttons titled Apple iPhone 5s champagne button set.

The parts in question are the lock slider, power button and volume buttons. The other three parts are related to the SIM card tray.

It is unclear if they are an official option or whether they are high quality third party parts.

Rumours have suggested that Apple may introduce at least one new colour option to its flagship iPhone model.

The company is also widely believed to be adding a new budget iPhone – currently thought to be called the iPhone 5c – that will be available in a number of colour options.

Apple is expected to officially unveil the new smartphones at some point in the next three months.

Xperia i1 images hint at curved back

The phone – also known by its codename of Honami – has been at the centre of a number of leaks in recent weeks.

Though the phone does not officially exist, Sony’s South Korean boss has confirmed that the handset would be launching in his country before the end of the year.

Since then, a number of leaks have hinted at the phone. Most of the images and specifications have hinted that it will be very much like Sony’s flagship Xperia Z, albeit with a focus on photography.

Previous leaks have suggested that the handset will come with a 20-megapixel rear camera.

However, this latest leak – via DigiWo – has thrown doubts on how similar to the Xperia Z the i1 is.

If genuine, the marketing materials appear to show a handset that is more akin to the rounder Xperia Z Ultra.

Due to the low quality and teaser nature of the image, it is difficult to be sure if the phone does have a curved back like the Ultra, or if it has the straight lines of the Xperia Z – as has been hinted in previous leaks.

If genuine, the unveil date of September 4th suggests that Sony will hold a pre-show conference.

Samsung and a number of other smartphone makers are unveiling new phones at the show, which runs from September 6th to the 11th in Berlin.

Previous leaks have revealed the phone’s screen to be a five-inch 1080p display. They have also suggested that the handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 3,000mAh battery.

Alongside the 20 megapixel rear camera, it is also rumoured to feature a two megapixel camera for video calling, 4G LTE and NFC support.
